The vessel will be a Flybridge Convertible, luxuriously appointed primarily for cruising and fishing the waters of the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands.  Fitout will include owner's luxury stateroom and the saloon will be beautifully outfitted for entertaining family, friends or high value business clients. 

It will have owners' private stateroom with queen bed and airconditioning. The vessel will feature a complete audio/visual entertainment system including Plasma TV, DVD entertainment system and cable TV via satellite.

Most boatshare projects are "drive yourself" style operations based on Sydney Harbour, Port Phillip Bay or other enclosed waterways. We feel that a more practical option for the waters of the Great Barrier Reef would be to have a fully crewed operation. To fully enjoy and appreciate this wonderful playground it is sensible and convenient to have this option.

Your crew will take responsibility for the chores. In addition to taking care of the navigation and operational work you can totally forget about cleaning, polishing, maintenance, oil changes, provisioning, laundry, fuelling, painting, slipping, scraping & scrubbing and even cooking if you wish.

Whitehaven Charters Pty Ltd will be your full partner in the venture. We are experienced charter operators ourselves. We will manage the venture for you.

The Great Barrier Reef is a fantastic playground for all types of water sports - snorkeling, diving, fishing. However you want to avoid the hazards of navigation in this amazing playground. 

You can concentrate on entertaining, fishing, and enjoying the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands.

Our profession skipper and crew will show you the Great Barrier Reef, up close and personal; and we know the Whitsundays like the back of our hand too!

The vessel will be owned by a company.  Up to ten shares will be available for purchase. Ownership will last for the life of the vessel.  In the case of this proposal, the vessel will be crewed by professional, licensed crew comprising Master and Mate.  This is due to the nature of boating within the Great Barrier Reef region, the distances off shore required (up to 200 nm), and protection of your investment.  Master's qualifications (minimum) will be Master Class IV / M.E.D. II.

Access & Bookings

Your own vessel will be berthed, fully maintained and fuelled at Mackay Marina ready for your use.  Alternatively we will meet you and your guests at the port of your nomination. We can schedule seasonal relocation to suit owners' needs. i.e. the following ports could easily be within our schedule depending on client requirements:  Brisbane, Gladstone, Mackay, Hamilton Island, Townsville, Cairns, Port Douglas, Lizard Island. We anticipate having the vessel available for corporate charter work when not required by owners. Income from charter bookings will be returned to the ownership company to offset expenses.

Owners may book and use 25% of their annual entitlement each quarter, up to 1 year in advance.

Maintenance

All vessel maintenance, cleaning, provisioning, mechanical, registration, insurance, marina and member services will be carried out by the company.  Members shall pay one year's maintenance levy in advance.

Regular membership

Regular Membership secures a 10% equity shareholding in the vessel. You may book the vessel for 20  days per year, each year for the life of the boat.

Gold Membership

Gold Membership secures a 20% equity shareholding in the vessel. You may book the vessel for up to 40 days per year, each year for the life of the boat.

As a shareholder you will determine the economic life of the vessel and when it will be replaced.
